According to Bild, AS Roma are interested in signing Emil Forsberg after the Malcom deal failed to go through courtesy of Barcelona’s last-minute involvement. The Italian side, who reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League last season, are eager to make a realistic push for the Serie A title in the next few years – although given their current stature, and the fact that Juventus have just signed Cristiano Ronaldo, it may be harder than they initially thought.
Despite the Malcom setback they’re still choosing to dust themselves down and pick themselves up again, with Forsberg, who made a series of impressive cameos at the World Cup this past summer, being their new primary target.
The 26-year-old has bee with RB Leipzig since 2015, but as is usually the case with many players who impress at the World Cup, it seems as if he could be moving on sooner rather than later.
