According to Sky Sports, Italian side Roma have made a move for Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre.
Silvestre had seem destined for a return to his French homeland after Bordeaux had shown strong interest in the defender, but now it seems that Roma have made an attempt to hijack the deal.
A move to Italian side Roma may prove a more tempting offer to Silvestre, something which Bordeaux director Marius Tresor has had to admit to.
Tresor told press:“For Mikael Silvestre, I’m afraid it’s complicated,â€Â
“I recently met him in the West Indies and He told me he was at least approached by Roma,”Tresor added.
“And as far as both teams are concerned, there’s a risk a permanent move to Roma is more attractive than a loan to Bordeaux.â€Â
Silvestre, 30, has suffered an injury ravaged season after missing over 6 months of football due to a knee ligament injury. Silvestre has played in Italy before after joining Manchester United from Italian side Internazionale, where he made 18 appearances in two years.
