According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi is a wanted man with Italian side Roma being interested in securing his services. The belief is that they are going to make a loan offer for the Belgian forward, which would also include an option to buy during next summer’s transfer window.
A lot of Chelsea fans have been hoping that Batshuayi would be given a chance to shine in the first team this season, especially after the Blues were unable to bring in any more new faces due to their transfer ban. However, it doesn’t appear as if he’s going to play any kind of role in Frank Lampard’s plans moving forward.
The big question now will be what kind of financial commitment Roma are able to make, even though it’s only a loan deal.
One way or another, Batshuayi’s future looks set to be away from Stamford Bridge.
