(GSM) – Roma are looking to bring Panathinaikos midfielder Sotiris Ninis over to the Stadio Olimpico.
Ninis will be at the club until 2012 after four-year contract extension and he has just made his World Cup debut against Nigeria.
He was being linked with a move to Milan, Real Madrid and Manchester United are also interested in signing him, who has been valued at around £9m.
“When he was 17, Ninis was already better than everyone else in the team,” said the former Panathinaikos manager Victor Munoz.
“Roma would make a fantastic signing and what’s more he is an eclectic players.
“It’d take a while for him to adapt to Serie A, but I trust his class and strength would emerge.”
