Roma interested in Wijnaldum

According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are considered to be the favourites to sign Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

It’s been no secret that the Dutchman has been looking into the possibility of leaving Anfield for months now but during that time, Barcelona has always seemed like the most likely destination. However, this recent report indicates that new Roma boss Jose Mourinho is very interested in trying to lure him over to Italy instead of Spain.

Wijnaldum clearly still has a lot to give to the beautiful game but when it comes to Liverpool, you’d have to think he’s done just about all he can with the club. Some fans may want to keep him on the books but if they’re going to go ahead with a rebuild during the summer, Jurgen Klopp may be open to the idea of bringing in a new midfielder to replace him.
