Roma keen on Guberti

Bari striker Stefano Guberti has revealed that Roma are interested in signing him.

The 24-year-old has confirmed that the Serie A side ‘have asked to talk’ to his agent.

“Roma, like several other clubs, have asked to talk to my agent,” he told LaRoma.net.

“It’s an honour to know that the Giallorossi are looking at me. Just four years ago I was in Serie D and so of course I am very happy.

“As I said a while ago, I want to sit down at the end of the season and weigh up the situation calmly.

“There’s no point in thinking about this now because Bari have a great project and I could stay here if we go up.

“At the moment there are just a few rumours and whispers that Torino, Bologna and Chievo are interested. However, there is nothing concrete from anyone.”

Manchester United have also been linked with Guberti in the past.
