Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed that AS Roma are readying January bid for Juventus defender Martin Caceres.
The Giallorossi are still short of options at the back and they believe the Uruguayan would be a great addition to the squad.
Juventus are not too keen on letting the defender leave Turin, but they could change their minds if Roma offer Marco Borriello in return.
Antonio Conte is prepared to take the Italy international back to Juventus Arena, providing the Bianconeri again fail to sign a world-class centre forward.
Borriello is currently on loan at Genoa, but he can be recalled by Roma and sent straight to Juventus on another short-term deal.
That would probably see Martin Caceres arrive at Stadio Olimpico, with the Uruguayan desperate to leave in search of first team football.
Caceres, 25, has made just 8 Serie A appearances this season and is very unhappy with his status at the club.
