AS Roma seem ready to make a move on Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, Il Messaggero has suggested.
It is no secret that the Giallorossi are eager to sign a long-term successor to veteran keeper Morgan De Sanctis and it would appear as though the Slovenian has become their primary target.
Handanovic is widely expected to quit Inter Milan this summer as he nears the final year of his contract and Roma aim to take advantage of the situation.
The only problem is that Manchester United and Arsenal appear to be keen on the 30-year-old footballer as well.
Morgan De Sanctis has spent last three years at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, having joined from Udinese, making 106 Serie A appearances. The highly rated goalkeeper has so far earned 65 Slovenia caps.
Should they fail to recruit Handanovic in the summer transfer window, Roma would turn their attention towards Marco Sportiello, Diego Lopez or Orestis Karnezis.
