Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that AS Roma are looking at Matthew Ryan and Yann Sommer, among other goalkeepers.
With Morgan Sanctis nearing the end of his playing days, the Giallorossi are desperate to recruit a quality shot-stopper in the summer transfer window.
And while Hugo Lloris and Samir Handanovic no longer look like realistic targets, Roma are turning their attention towards some less famous footballers.
Club Brugge starlet Matthew Ryan has emerged as one of their top targets, with the Australia international widely tipped to leave the Belgian giants ahead of the new season.
Should they fail to lure the 23-year-old to Stadio Olimpico, the Giallorossi will make a move on Borussia M’gladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
The Switzerland number one, 26, enjoyed a bright start to his career in German Bundesliga, and he has done nothing to harm his growing reputation as one of Europe’s most talented goalkeepers.
