AS Roma are readying January bid for Fiorentina defender Facundo Roncaglia, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Giallorossi have made quite a few defensive signings in the summer in an attempt to patch up the leaky back line, but 11 conceded goals in 7 Serie A games hint they haven’t succeeded in their quest.
It is for that reason that the Olimpico outfit are eager to sign Fiorentina stopper Facundo Roncaglia in the January transfer window.
Roma have been following the 25-year-old for a while now, but they missed out on the player in the summer as he decided to join Viola on a free transfer from Boca Juniors.
Having witnessed the Argentine’s impressive showings at the start of the Serie A campaign, the Giallorossi are now ready to offer Nicolas Burdisso plus another €5 million for his services.
However, it is highly unlikely that Fiorentina will be prepared to sell the player who has instantly become fans’ favourite at Artemio Franchi.
