AS Roma are weighing up a bid for Barcelona full-back Martin Montoya, Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed.
The Giallorossi have all but agreed to sign the Catalans youngster Antonio Sanabria, having matched his release clause, but they plan to lure another Barcelona player to Stadio Olimpico.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Roma are hoping to win the chase for Spanish defender Martin Montoya.
The 22-year-old has yet to sign an extension to the deal that is due to expire at the end of the season, with the Serie A side hoping he will instead sign a pre-contract agreement to join the club on a free transfer in the summer.
Inter Milan are also showing interest in the talented defender, who can play on either side of a back four.
Barcelona officials see Montoya as a good long-term replacement for Daniel Alves, but they will be powerless to prevent him from leaving the club unless he signs a new contract.
