Roma linked to ‘next Riquelme’

Sky Sports Italia is reporting that Roma are weighing up summer move for Boca Juniors hotshot Leandro Paredes.

With Erik Lamela proving an instant hit at Stadio Olimpico, the Giallorossi are ready to take a gamble with yet another talented player from Argentina.

According to Sky Sports Italia, Roma are stepping up their efforts to sign Boca Juniors midfielder Leandro Paredes.

The 18-year-old, who has been likened to Juan Roman Riquelme for his style of play, has exploded onto the biggest stage this season.

Paredes has been the only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing campaign for la Xeneize, scoring 4 goals in 16 league appearances.

Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is already working on bringing the talented footballer to Stadio Olimpico, but that could prove to be a difficult task.

Boca officials are desperate to keep hold of their prized asset and are not ready to negotiate a sale at the moment.
