Serie A heavyweights AS Roma are keen to bolster their attacking options and bring a back-up for Edin Dzeko, the Italian media are reporting.
Gazzetta dello Sport claims Giallorossi have identified Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi as one of the prime transfer targets for the January market.
Contracted to Chelsea, the 25-year-old Belgium striker is currently playing on loan at Valencia. Batshuayi has endured a difficult spell in La Liga thus far and is looking for a change of scenery in order to get his career back on track.
Batshuayi spent the second part of last season at Borussia Dortmund where he largely impressed by scoring seven goals in 10 Bundesliga outings and 9 in total for the German giants.
In addition to Batshuayi, AS Roma are said to be also eyeing Sampdoria’s Dawid Kownacki who has yet to start a single Serie A game this season.
