According to the Guardian, AS Roma will demand €90million for Alisson Becker. The Brazilian goalkeeper has long been linked with Liverpool, and occasionally with Real Madrid.
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp had given Loris Karius the chance to prove there was no need for a new face between the posts when he decided to permanently bench Simon Mignolet. Karius had been doing OK until he practically gave the Champions League trophy to Real Madrid by conceding two inexplicable goals in the final.
Liverpool have now contacted Roma regarding Alisson, but they still haven’t made a concrete offer. Roma are reluctant to negotiate before the World Cup while Liverpool, who confirmed the signing of Fabinho a few days ago, are keen to get all their transfer business done as soon as possible.
Roma would like to keep their shot-stopper and are willing to offer him a new contract and increase his wages, but should Liverpool ultimately decide to pay the asking price, they would be willing to do business.
