Roma plan Dzagoev swoop

Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Roma are preparing a summer bid for CSKA Moscow attacker Alan Dzagoev.

Boss Zdenek Zeman has informed club officials that he is perfectly happy with the current squad, meaning there are unlikely to be any January signings.

However, club’s sporting director Walter Sabatini has already began to work on the summer targets.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Roma have made CSKA Moscow forward Alan Dzagoev their number one target.

The Giallorossi are a bit short of options in attack and they believe the Russia international would fit perfectly into Zeman’s 4-3-3 formation.

Erik Lamela and Francesco Totti do look like perfect options for the two wing positions, but Sabatini is aware the team will need to improve the strength in depth if they are to successfully challenge for honours next season.

Alan Dzagoev has been in fine form this season, scoring 3 goals and producing 4 assists in 13 Russian Premier League appearances.
