Talksport understands that Roma are keen to keep hold of Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny but do have a contingency plan in place should that plan fail.
The Poland international moved to the Stadio Olimpico on a season-long loan in the summer following Petr Cech’s arrival at the Emirates Stadium.
Szczesny has recently said that he is keen to return to Arsenal and battle with Cech for the number one jersey though Roma sporting director Walter Sabitini wants to retain his services.
However, Sabitini has lined up potential replacements should he lose the twenty-five year old, who has made eleven appearances for the Serie A outfit in all competitions so far this season.
Prior to his switch to Italy, Szczensy racked up one hundred and eighty-one games for the Gunners – the side he has been with since turning professional while internationally, he has been capped twenty-three times for his country.
