Roma are hoping to sign Portuguese full-back Jose Bosingwa, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Giallorossi technical department have been very active in the summer transfer window, having completed the signings of Dodo, Fabio Borini and Marquinho.
Sporting director Walter Sabatini yesterday confirmed that Corinthians defender Leandro Castan is set to complete his move to Roma, while hinting that the club were “close to signing a strong right-back”.
Il Corriere dello Sport believes the player in question is none other than Jose Bosingwa, a player who was released from Chelsea after his contract with the Blues expired on 30th June.
The 29-year-old still has a couple of good years ahead of him and the Giallorossi believe he would be a great addition to the squad at Olimpico.
Jose Bosingwa arrived to Stamford Bridge in a €20.5 million deal from Porto in August 2008 and has since featured in 89 Premier League games for the Blues.
