Roma director Bruno Conti insists they have no plans of letting French defender Philippe Mexes leave the club.
Mexes has recently revealed he could leave the Italian side if he does not get regular first-team action at the club.
“Philippe is a great person and we have already discussed his contract renewal a couple of times, but he said he wants to wait,” replied director Bruno Conti.
“Let it be clear we have no intention of losing the player, as we consider him to be a crucial element of the squad.
“Daniele Pradè calls his agent every day to find an agreement. We’ll meet up again over the next few days.”
