Roma set to join chase for Lukaku

TalkSport understands that Roma are considering making a move for Romelu Lukaku when the transfer window reopens.

The Belgium international has spent the season on loan with Everton, where he has scored fourteen goals in thirty-one appearances in all competitions.

The Merseyside club are keen to secure a permanent deal for the 20 year old, though the fact that they are now unlikely to qualify for next season’s Champions League may affect their chances.

Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a big money move, with his future at parent club Chelsea unsure ahead of next season.

Roma are keen to strengthen their squad as they plan for a return to Europe’s top club competition, with a top two finish in Serie A already guaranteed.

They travel to bottom of the table Catania on Sunday afternoon, and can be backed at a price of 2/5 to pick up all three points.
