Roma set to sign MLS starlet

Il Corriere dello Sport understands that AS Roma are set to recruit USA full-back DeAndre Yedlin from Seattle Sounders.

The same source has suggested that the deal is set to be wrapped up, with the Giallorossi only yet to decide whether they will allow the player to spend another season in the United States.

With Douglas Maicon not getting any younger, Roma officials have decided to sign a long-term replacement for the Brazilian and they seem to have made a good choice.

The 21-year-old has already shown a great deal of potential in the MLS, making a total of 45 league appearances for Seattle Sounders.

He also featured in three matches for the national team at the 2014 World Cup, proving his worth at the biggest stage as well.

Yedlin now looks set to embark on a new chapter in his career, although there is a good chance he will be loaned back to Seattle Sounders.
