A number of top European sides are hot on the trail of Gremio midfielder Walace, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 20-year-old has shown a great deal of potential since joining the Brazilian giants from Avai, and it appears that the race for his services is hotting up.

While the likes of Porto and Benfica had shown interest back in November 2014, the latest reports suggest that AS Roma and Sevilla are keen as well.

Gremio are now awaiting a formal offer for the youngster’s services that is bound to arrive at the start of the transfer window.

Walace has so far made 32 league appearances for the Brazilian giants, although he has yet to score his first goal for the club.

The youngster represented Brazil at the Under-20 South American Championship in Uruguay earlier this year, starting five matches at the tournament finals.
