Roma star set for a return to Brazil

Roma defender Juan could be set for a summer return to Flamengo, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Brazilian earlier stated that he would return to Flamengo when his contract with Roma expired, but the latest reports suggest the Brazilian could move as early as next summer.

Juan are no longer considered a key player at Olimpico following some shocking defensive mistakes this season and it looks highly unlikely that he will see out his contract with Roma, which expires in June 2013.

With Philippe Mexes likely to leave the club in the summer, Roma could jump at the chance to create a new defensive partnership and they will probably allow Juan to leave for a reasonable price.

The Brazilian defender started his professional career at Flamengo exactly 15 years ago and everything suggests he will soon return to where it all started for him.
