Italian newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested that Roma face a real struggle to hold on to Erik Lamela and Marquinhos.
The two talented footballers have seen their stocks rise a great deal since arriving at Stadio Olimpico and are now followed by some of Europe’s top clubs.
Marquinhos, 18, has already become a first team regular with the Giallorossi and has been subject of a big money offer from Barcelona.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Catalans have submitted an official bid worth €25 million, but neither Roma nor the player were interested in the offer from Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are reportedly planning a €35 million proposal for Erik Lamela.
Sir Alex Ferguson was keen on the Argentine forward even before he joined Roma, but the Giallorossi ultimately won the race for the player’s signature.
The Scottish manager was in turn impressed with how Lamela’s career has progressed since he left River Plate and is now ready to try and lure him to Old Trafford.
