Roma step up chase for Bacca

Italian giants AS Roma are stepping up their efforts to sign Colombian striker Carlos Bacca from Sevilla, Tuttosport has suggested.

The Giallorossi want to recruit a proven goalscorer as a replacement for Francesco Totti and it appears they have made the La Liga star their primary target.

Sevilla’s reported €25 million valuation is within Roma’s price range, while the striker’s wage demands wouldn’t be a problem either.

Having secured their place in the Champions League group stages, the Giallorossi are set to start working on the summer targets and Bacca appears to be at the top of their hit-list.

The Colombian recently suggested Sevilla might have no choice but to cash in on him this summer and chances are he would be tempted by the offer from Stadio Olimpico.

Having already bagged 26 competitive goals this season, Bacca can be backed at 1/1 to score anytime in the Europa League final.
