Italian newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Roma are lining up a bid for Udinese full-back Dusan Basta.
The Giallorossi are likely to stay without Ivan Piris at the end of the season and are eager to sign another right-sided defender to provide competition for Vasilis Torosidis.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Roma have made Udinese full-back Dusan Basta their number one target.
The Serbian defender has been followed for over a year now and sporting director Walter Sabatini will pay special attention to the player when Roma visit Friuli on Saturday evening.
Basta, 28, has been performing at a very high level ever since he fully recovered from a difficult injury some year and a half ago, and has scored 1 goal and produced 2 assists in 18 Serie A fixtures this term.
He has a contract until June 2016 at Stadio Friuli and it is believed Udinese would sell him for around €4 million.
