AS Roma are weighing up a double swoop for Tottenham midfielders Sandro and Erik Lamela, Il Corriere dello Sport has learned.
While their attempts to sign Paulinho from White Hart Lane have proved unsuccessful, the Giallorossi appear to be closing in on his compatriot Sandro.
With the Brazilian not exactly in the first team plans of boss Tim Sherwood, it is believed that an offer in the region of €10 million would prove sufficient to lure him to Stadio Olimpico.
Meanwhile, Roma could make a surprise move for former player Erik Lamela, who has had a very difficult start to his career in England.
The Giallorossi are hoping to sign the Argentine on a season-long loan, which would see talented defender Tim Jedvaj move in the opposite direction, also on a one-year loan deal.
Roma will be looking to keep their slim title hopes alive by defeating Catania on the road, with away win available at 2/5.
