Roma have shifted their interest towards Pablo Daniel Osvaldo after their bid to sign Villarreal’s Nilmar fell through.
The Giallorossi are looking for a new striker following Mirko Vucinic’s departure and they have recently shown interest in Villarreal forward Nilmar.
However, after being informed of the Brazilian’s asking price, they have decided to turn their attention towards Espanyol forward Pablo Daniel Osvaldo.
The Argentine-born forward holds an Italian passport and he already has Serie A experience, having played for Atalanta, Lecce, Fiorentina and Bologna before moving to Spain.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, Roma are prepared to offer Espanyol cash plus Fabio Simplicio in a deal worth €18 million.
The player has €18 million release clause in his contract, but it is believed that Espanyol would require the full amount to be paid in cash.
