Roma to make Higuain captain?

According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Italian side Roma are more than willing to make Gonzalo Higuain their captain in order to try and officially sign him from Juventus. The Argentine forward had a less than spectacular loan spell with Premier League side Chelsea towards the back half of the season, which has opened the door for a series of other European clubs to make their interest in him known. He has, up to this point, openly refused the idea of joining another Italian club, but it does seem like Roma are willing to do whatever it takes in order to make him happy.

Higuain hasn’t been able to find any real consistency for quite some time now, and with Juventus not having any substantial plans to feature him in their first team, now seems like the perfect time for him to take the plunge and make another big move.
