Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that AS Roma are set to offer new contracts to Douglas Maicon, Alessandro Florenzi and Morgan De Sanctis.
The Brazilian, who is currently in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, will be out of contract in the summer, but club officials want him to stay for another year.
Maicon’s yearly wage of €1.7 million plus bonuses could ultimately prove an obstacle to an agreement, and the Brazilian will have to take a pay cut in order to remain at Stadio Olimpico.
Andrea Lorenzi has a deal until June 2016 with the Giallorossi, but his current €600,000 a year salary does not reflect the new status he has at the club.
As a result, Roma plan to double his wage and add another two or three years to his current deal, but they have to be wary of Europe’s top sides who are showing interest in the 23-year-old.
The Giallorossi could also offer a new contract to veteran keeper Morgan De Sanctis, who has yet to decide whether he wants to remain at Stadio Olimpico.
