La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that AS Roma are stepping up their efforts to sign Torino duo Alessio Cerci and Matteo Darmian.
Having secured Champions League qualification, the Giallorossi plan to seriously reinforce the squad over the summer and they are reportedly on the verge of signing Seydou Keita on a free transfer from Valencia.
And with that deal already wrapped up, Roma officials have turned their attention to Torino stars Alessio Cerci and Matteo Darmian.
Following some impressive displays for Granata last season, the two players not only caught the eye of Europe’s top clubs, but were also named in Italy’s final World Cup squad.
Roma are determined to lure them to Stadio Olimpico, although the combined price of €25 million is proving to be too much for the Giallorossi.
They, nonetheless, plan to lower the asking price by sending talented defender Alessio Romagnoli in the opposite direction.
