Coach Luciano Spalletti insists Roma will not give up hope as the season winds down.”The lads are very excited,” the former Udinese boss said. “Fiorentina and Genoa are excellent teams and therefore it won’t be easy to reach fourth place, however, we will fight until the end.”

Captain Francesco Totti is close to returning to action on the pitch, but Alberto Aquilani remains sidelined as he continue to struggle with his injury problems. “We must let him rest, sometimes it’s not a simple matter understanding the extent of these injuries. We will wait until they tell us he can return to the field,” the coach explained with regards to the midfielder.
