Roma won’t sell De Rossi to Man City

Roma director Bruno Conti insists they are not considering selling Italy international Daniele De Rossi to Manchester City.

Reports in the Italian media says City are ready to make a bid for De Rossi after having their £108million bid for Kaka accepted by AC Milan.

“This week we have not received any formal request for Daniele from Manchester City. These are all allegations without foundation,” director Conti told the Corriere dello Sport.

“There was concrete interest from Real Madrid in recent months, but you know how that went, despite the fact we have maintained an excellent rapport with the Spanish club.

“We are not even considering the possibility of parting with De Rossi, as he is part of our plans.”

De Rossi signed a new contract in the summer that will keep him in Rome until 2012.
