Marseille winger Romain Alessandrini is set to join LA Galaxy after the MLS side had an offer accepted by the club, L’Equipe has suggested.
The 27-year-old flew to Los Angeles yesterday afternoon as a €3 million proposal was accepted by OM and he will sign a three-year deal subject to passing a medical.
Alessandrini has struggled through injury over the last year or so and he only made six league appearances this season.
Once Marseille had agreed a deal for Dimitri Payet, it became clear that Alessandrini would have to leave, and he is now set for a fresh challenge in his career.
The experienced footballer had joined OM as one of Ligue 1’s leading performers in July 2014, but his career at Stade Velodrome did not go according to the plan.
Alessandrini went on to score mere 6 goals in 54 league outings for the club, with his two-and-a-half-year spell now drawing to a conclusion.
