“Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero have contracts until the summer and they’re not going to be extended”.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Sergio Romero and Marcos Rojo will be leaving the club.
While he didn’t explicitly say whether or not it’d happen during the summer or the current January transfer window, it definitely feels like just a matter of time before both make their way out of Old Trafford.
The same goes for striker Odion Ighalo who, despite making a strong start to life in Manchester, hasn’t quite been given the chance to replicate that form in recent months.
While some fans will be disappointed to see all three go, for different reasons, that doesn’t change the fact that the Red Devils are a team in transition right now. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has his eyes set on the title and if he wants to achieve that goal, he needs to thin out the squad.
