According to Talk Sport, Chelsea youngster Oriol Romeu has said that a move back to Barcelona would be tough for him to turn down.
The La Liga side had apparently been interested in re-signing the 20-year-old after selling him to the London club in 2011.
Romeu, who made just 16 appearances for Chelsea last season said: “If [Barcelona coach] Tito Vilanova wants me there, I would talk to him and discuss it with him. If they want me to enjoy my football and show some confidence in me, then onwards and upwards,”
The Spanish giants do have a buy-back clause for Romeu and it is being suggested that he may be used as a central defender by the La Liga side, something he did as a youngster.
With Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique both having their injury problems last campaign, Barcelona have been linked with a few centre backs in this transfer window and their former player could fit the bill perfectly.
However, the Spaniard seemed to enjoy the role he has been playing in the English Premier League and played a part in the Champions League triumph with the Blues.
New boss at Stamford Bridge Roberto Di Matteo is likely to want to keep his young talent though as he looks to build a side that can challenge for the title in the English top flight.
