Brazilian legend Ronaldo has completed a 51% takeover of Spanish club Real Valladolid after much speculation over the potential deal. Ronaldo, who recently came out of hospital, has been interested in this move for quite some time, and now it’s finally become a reality.
The 42-year-old is considered to be one of the greatest footballers of all time, but now, he’s moved into something different – and perhaps even something better. He’s never really been viewed as a businessman even during his playing days, but since retiring he’s kept active in the football community.
Valladolid have had a tough start to the La Liga season, and despite only losing narrowly to Barcelona, they’ll still be battling to avoid relegation throughout the campaign. When talking about his future in the game, Ronaldo stated that football is ‘a passion’, claiming that he’s gone through many stages of his training in order to get to this point.
