“A couple of years ago, he told me that he will probably end up in America,” the former Manchester United winger told ESPN. “It’s not 100 per cent, but probably. There is a chance.”
Those are the words of Portugal international Nani, who has revealed that his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo has informed him that he will probably end up making the move over to Major League Soccer one day.
This is the kind of jump that many fans would’ve expected for someone like Ronaldo, and given the fact that he’s in his mid-30s, it wouldn’t be all too surprising if this deal happened sooner rather than later.
Ronaldo has pretty much done it all in the beautiful game, and now, it’s all about making moves that are going to satisfy him both personally and professionally.
He’s talented enough to keep playing at the highest level in Europe, but whether or not he has the passion is another matter altogether.
