Ronaldo linked with MLS switch

Sports Illustrated has suggested that Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is planning a move to Major League Soccer.

The United States’ elite division has started to attract a growing number of high-profile players from Europe, but the competition could soon welcome one of world’s best footballers.

According to Sports Illustrated, Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo hopes to end his career in the MLS, and he will probably move to the United States when his current deal with los Blancos expires in June 2018.

The Portuguese footballer will be 33 when his contract at Santiago Bernabeu runs out, and he will probably have at least few more good years ahead of him.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been in scintillating form ever since he joined Real Madrid from Manchester United, bagging 197 goals in 189 La Liga appearances.

He has also been notching goals for fun in Europe’s elite competition, netting 60 times in 59 Champions League fixtures.
