Brazilian striker Ronaldo has scored his first goal for Corinthians having played for the first time in more than a year last week following a serious knee injury.
The 32-year-old World Cup winner, and three-time FIFA World Player of the Year, came on after an hour in the 1-1 draw against Sao Paulo in a derby match on Sunday.
Ronaldo headed home in the second minute of injury time for the equaliser to send the Corinthian supporters into frenzied celebrations.
“I am delighted. It was a unique and very moving moment,” Ronaldo said.
His debut appearance for Corinthians in the 2-0 Brazilian Cup victory over Itumbiara on Wednesday ended a 387-day period on the sidelines following the tearing of left knee ligaments while playing for AC Milan.
