Cristiano Ronaldo is scheduled to hold talks with Juventus over his future soon, according to Sky Sports.
Juventus had a very difficult season, failing to win the Serie A for the first time after nine consecutive triumphs. Nonetheless, they still managed to earn silverware, winning the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup. As for Ronaldo himself, the Portuguese superstar finished the campaign as the league’s top scorer with 29 strikes.
The 36-year-old was left out of the starting XI for the final day victory over Bologna as the Old Lady secured Champions League qualification, and head coach Andrea Pirlo explained that the reason behind the decision was simply fatigue.
In recent months, Ronaldo has been linked with all three clubs he played for before arriving to Turin – Real Madrid, Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon. However, his services are costing Juventus £52 million every year, and only Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be able to afford to sign him.
Meanwhile, his contract at the Allianz Stadium has one year left to run.
