(GSM) – Cristiano Ronaldo is set to make his return for Real Madrid in tomorrow’s Champions League encounter with FC Zurich. The Portugese superstar has recovered from an ankle injury and has been included in the squad for tomorrow’s game as they look to secure a place in the knock-out stages.

Ronaldo has been out of action with an ankle injury since October 10 and missed Real’s last ten games and was also unable to play in Portugal’s World Cup qualifying play-off with Bosnia-Herzegovina. He returned to full training on Friday and could now feature against Zurich and Barcelona, who host Los Merengues on Sunday in the first ‘el clasico’ of the season.

“Cristiano is in the squad,” said Real coach Manuel Pellegrini. “He’s looked a lot looser in the last few trainings, so we’ll see how much he plays tomorrow.”

“I’ve always said it’s impossible not to miss a player of his quality. He’s regarded as the best in the world,” Pellegrini added.

“But you cannot rely on one player and the team have responded well in his absence. We are top of La Liga and (joint top) of our Champions League group.”

If Madrid win and AC Milan also beat Marseille then the two clubs will seal their passage to the knockout stages.
