Ronaldo set to snub Real’s contract offer

A report from the Metro is suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to shock Real Madrid and refuse to sign a contract extension, which will spark doubt over his future at the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo claimed that he was ‘sad’ at the La Liga champions at the start of the season, but it seemed as though he was happy again over recent months.

The Portuguese international is currently contracted to the club until 2015, but Real want to tie him down until 2018 and were even prepared significantly increase his wages.

However, living in the spotlight of Lionel Messi might be getting to Real’s number seven and he could be ready to leave Spain in order to make a challenge for a Balloon D’Or trophy, something that is difficult to do when playing in the same league as the Barcelona man.

This news is sure to put both Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain on red alert as both are keen on securing his services.

United might not be able to bring him back to the English Premier League as he would of course be extremely expensive.

But, it does hang in the balance as PSG could afford him, but Ligue 1 is not considered one of the best in the world.

We shall see.
