Cristiano Ronaldo could be set for a sensational return to Manchester United, according to Sky Sports.
The 29 year old swapped Old Trafford for the Bernabeu in the summer of 2009 for a then world record £80m fee but could now be set to go back to the club he represented for six years after suggestions that he is unhappy with Real’s transfer policy.
Ronaldo has made two hundred and fifty-one appearances in all competitions for the La Liga giants, scoring two hundred and fifty-six goals and has winner’s medals in League, the Copa Del Rey, the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.
He also won the Champions League during his time at United, as well as three League titles, three League Cups and the FIFA World Club Cup.
Real Madrid begin their Champions League defence at home to Swiss champions Basel this evening, and Ronaldo is the 9/4 favourite to get the first goal of the game.
