As Cristiano Ronaldo announced his possible departure from Real Madrid after the Champions League final, Juventus have emerged as his most likely destination. The fee Real would reportedly receive to part with their superstar would be €100million, while the player would earn €30million per season in wages.
There were also reports of Juventus doing their best to finalize the deal and present the Portuguese as their player over the weekend, but it did not happen in that time-frame. As quoted by Mirror, Cadena COPE claim the deal is not yet close to being completed.
Manager Massimiliano Allegri has had a telephone conversation with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. He needed to make his plans regarding Ronaldo’s role in the team perfectly clear in order to convince the player to make the switch, which indicates that Ronaldo is yet to decide his immediate future.
In his 438 appearances for Real Madrid, the 33-year-old forward has scored 450 goals, making him the club’s top scorer ever.
