The Cristiano Ronaldo transfer saga has been blown out of proportion so much that fans have begun to tire of reading the same stories every day. Now, that saga looks to reach a conclusion which would not upset too many Manchester United fans.
According to The Sun, the Portuguese winger has called the authorities at Old Trafford to announce them that he will be returning to Carrington – the club’s training facility – after his holiday.
Reports in the Spanish media suggested that Ronaldo would go on strike and refuse to show up for training in a bid to facilitate his move to Madrid. So sure was the English media of the impending departure of Ronaldo to Real Madrid that they reported the date that the club had set to announce the signing of the impressive winger.
Now, those reports, published by the Daily Mirror, seem to have been false if The Sun is to be believed. Ronaldo is due to return from holiday on July 10th and, once there, Ferguson and Quieiroz will hope to convince Ronaldo that his future lies at Old Trafford.
