Portugal could be without Cristiano Ronaldo for their Euro 2012 qualifiers against Cyprus and Norway after the forward picked up an injury playing for Real Madrid on Sunday.

Ronaldo took a knock to his right ankle in the 0-0 draw with Real Mallorca and is to have further tests to determine the extent of the damage.

Portugal play Cyprus on Friday and Norway four days later.

One key figure in the Portuguese camp who is a certain absentee for the ties is manager Carlos Queiroz, who is serving a one-month ban for insulting anti-doping officials at a pre-World Cup training camp.
