Ronaldo unhappy at Real Madrid

Portugal international forward Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told Real Madrid club president Florentino Perez that he wants to quit the club.

Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes met with Perez and Los Blancos director general Jose Angel Sanchez on Saturday.

According to a bevy of Spanish media outlets, the meeting ended on a sour note, with Ronaldo claiming that he does not feel ‘valued’ by the club. The Portuguese also added that their has been a falling out between certain unnamed players within Jose Mourinho’s squad.

The rift between Ronaldo and Madrid surfaced following Los Blancos’ 3-0 league win over Granada.

“I’m sad because of a professional issue and the club know why. That’s why I didn’t celebrate the goals, because I’m not happy. The people [at the club] know why,” revealed the 27-year-old.

“It’s nothing to do with Andres Iniesta [winning UEFA’s Best Player in Europe award]. I won’t talk about this any more and I will concentrate on Portugal for now. There are more important things [than this].

“The people at the club know about this. I cannot say any more.”

Could Ronaldo be on his way back to the English Premier League? If so, which clubs have a realistic chance of winning his signature? That’s a story for another day, but surely Manchester United would be amongs the favourites to land the Portuguese superstar.

Now then, Jorge Mendes — Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent — has asserted that he has always been in the know regarding the winger’s unhappiness at Real Madrid.

“Following [Monday’s] reports published by some media outlets, which claim that I have been surprised and bothered by the statements made by Cristiano Ronaldo, I clarify the following,” explained Mendes.

“Firstly, Ronaldo’s declarations are based on reasons that are the best of my knowledge. It is at the discretion of Cristiano whether he discloses them or not.

“Secondly, these statements have not surprised me and, much less, caused me any discomfort. The relationship that binds me to Cristiano Ronaldo means he will always count on me with total solidarity.

Mendes also serves as the representation for a host of Real Madrid players and coaches, including Jose Mourinho, Fábio Coentrão, Pepe, Ángel Di María and Ricardo Carvalho.

Many people believe that Ronaldo leaked his unhappiness in order to ink a new contract with the European giants, but former former Selecção winger Paulo Futre and I do not.

I have followed Ronaldo’s career quite closely since Euro 2004, and money has never been at the forefront of his concerns.

Stay tuned for more details regarding this story. Goodbye for now.

Sergio Ramos is the problem. We all saw it during their match against City that Sergio was benched and now Ramos said that he wants to get out of Madrid. His reason being that Jose is biased to some players.

I don’t think Jose has been biased, Ramos has always been like this, a hardheaded and pig headed guy when things don’t go their way. He blasted Pelligrini before, he feels like he’s bigger than the coach. So out with Sergio.

Its the $ issue in the whole sense. Nowadays many have lost the loyalty sense in this materealistic era. Blame the system which is designed to tiz roadmap. But highly paid footballers r professionals who shld possess a very high sense of responsibility to fans n club n not express themselves in d manner ronaldo did as it caused unrest in d club. The club shld also deal with the matter in a responsible manner. Knowing ron, he went to d club that n could pay him high at the time but d market change rapidly n suddenly there r others more attractive n he wants to jump in on the wave.

Ronaldo happened to say all of this the day after the transfer window closed for EPL and La Liga. He clearly wants to remain at Madrid but wants to be shown how much he means to the club. IF he was to leave the only ones that can afford him would be Manchester City and PSG. Sorry guy up there that said AC MILAN- lmao they have no money for that kind of transfer and neither does Arsenal. Juventus is more likely then Milan or Arsenal but less likely than City or Chelsea.

well i think that if CR7 is unhappy with the attitude of the team he surely dont deserve that after playing so well for them. secondly football fans all over the world dont want to see the rivalry b/w CR7 and Messi end as there wiil be no ronaldo in el-clasicos, if he should go to any team it sould be ManU as they need him.

CR7 should be treated like God by RM. he should be unhappy if you let Higuain play, if Higuain plays then he will not be able to be the top scorer in RM, let alone La Liga. RM should sell Higuain if they want to have the privilege to worship him any longer.

I can only see Ronaldo leaving after Real wins the Champions League. He knows that if he does leave without winning it he is going to look like a complete loser. Todd your right.], I dont even think he wuld ever go back to Man U. I can see him going to Chelsea, Arsenal, AC Milan or Juventus.

I highly doubt that Ronaldo would return to Manchester United any time soon. I don’t think that United would want to spend so much for him considering his current attitude. He certainly has an air of prima-donna (not undeserved) that could leave him more of an unhappy outcast.
