Salomon Rondon loves his life at Newcastle. After a brilliant performance by the player and the team against Liverpool in a tight 3-2 loss last weekend, the Venezuelan striker is unsure whether he will be staying at St James’ Park next season.
Rondon wants Newcastle to buy him on a permanent transfer this summer, the Daily Mirror claim. The Magpies have loaned Rondon from West Bromwich Albion last summer in exchange for Dwight Gayle and could be signing him this summer for £20m.
Rondon stated: “Better with age? For me, yes. It’s like a wine! Maybe it is my last game here. That would be a shame for my family because they are settled here. It is out of my hands and I will have to wait.”
Now everything will be on the two clubs. No one really knows what will happen at Newcastle this summer, considering Rafa Benitez’s stay is unclear too.
