Spanish side Malaga are weighing up a January bid for out-of-sorts Swansea City midfielder Roque Mesa who continues to struggle in the Premier League this season.
The 28-year-old midfielder joined Swansea City this summer from Las Palmas in a €12.5 million deal but largely failed to impress at his new club. Mesa made only three top flight appearances thus far in the season and is already linked with a return to Spain.
Diario AS understands that Malaga identifier Roque Mesa as a perfect solution for their ‘pivot’ position in the team and are plotting an approach for the deep-lying Swansea midfielder this winter.
The two clubs nurture a successful business relationship which already saw Borja Baston move to Malaga on loan away from the Liberty Stadium.
Malaga are not having the best of seasons thus far and are currently sitting in 18th place of the La Liga standings with 8/15 betting odds on them to be relegated at the end of the season.
