Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has responded to speculation over his future by stating that he expects to stay at the club this season. The 28-year-old has been the source of much discussion in the last few weeks, with a handful of European clubs being linked with a move for the Englishman – including Marseille. Alas, it seems as if Rose won’t be going anywhere, as you can see by the quote below.
“If I’m here past Friday, which I’m expecting to be, which will be great, I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve at the end of the season. Me and the manager have had a conversation over the phone, as well as two one-hour meetings over the last couple of weeks.”
While he did say the word ‘if’ when discussing where he would end up, it certainly seems as if he’s on the right track with manager Mauricio Pochettino. Spurs have had a flying start to the Premier League season with three wins from their first three games, including a dominant 3-0 triumph over Manchester United on Monday night – and right now, they’re showing no signs of slowing down.
Regardless of what happens with Rose, Tottenham’s attention will now switch towards their game against Watford at the weekend.
